Thrilled
"Do it," my friend urged.
"I have the song on an iPod," another encouraged and the man in a turban said he could, we could, plug them into to stereo, replacing the Bob Marley and Egyptian techno that disturbed the quiet of a windless afternoon on the Nile.
"I can't," I protested.
In the end, though, I gave in. From the other boat, I heard shouts of "Thriller!" as I performed part of the dance on the bow of a felluca flowing South to North on the river Nile. There are pictures to prove it. Sun shining. Hair blowing. Skirt billowing. Dancing to Thriller.
That was before the drinking started.
I just wish I remembered more of the moves.
